Original Fantasy and Science Fiction in Traditional and Furry Worlds

Ron Oakes is a self-published fantasy writer and, sometimes, a science fiction writer. He has written works published under his own name and as Randall Fox.

As Ron Oakes, he has written works in a traditional high fantasy setting, The Northlands. The Northlands have seen nearly 2000 years of peace following the end of The Last War, where the forces of The Free Kindreds—elves, dwarves, and men—fought back against the forces led by the rebellious Rai—angelic beings created by The God Alilun—Yurmbrear.

As Randall Fox, Ron has written, shorter works set in a furry setting resembling the European Renaissance. This world features an eclectic mix of anthropomorphic animals living together in a united society. It blends adventure, politics, and a bit of daily life as we follow Randall through his adventures.

Randall Fox has also written novellas in the United Creatures Universe, a future setting where sentient non-human creatures share the solar system with humans after a cataclysm destroyed late-21st-century society.
